Asian Chopped Salad

Fresh, crisp and bursting with flavor, this Asian Chopped Salad is an easy side dish that's perfect for weeknight dinners, meal prep or summer gatherings. A colorful blend of cabbage, edamame, carrots and green onion is tossed in a savory-sweet dressing made with Ohsawa Nama Shoyu, MUSO From Japan Light Sweet Miso, rice vinegar and sesame oil. Finished with juicy mandarin oranges, crunchy wonton crisps and sesame seeds, every bite delivers the perfect balance of texture and flavor.
Ingredients (serves 4-6):
Dressing
● ¼ cup Ohsawa Nama Shoyu
● 1 tbsp MUSO From Japan Light Sweet Miso
● 3 tbsp rice vinegar
● 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
● ½ tbsp crushed ginger
● 1 garlic clove, grated
● 1 tsp Ohsawa Roasted Sesame Oil
Salad
● ½ small head green cabbage, thinly sliced
● ½ small head red cabbage, thinly sliced
● 1 cup thawed edamame
● 2 large carrots, grated
● 3 green onions, thinly sliced
● Mandarin oranges, for serving
● Wonton crisps, for serving
● Sesame seeds, for serving
Directions
- Make the dressing: whisk together all of the dressing ingredients until combined. Set aside.
- Make the salad: in a large bowl add the green and red cabbage, edamame, carrots, and green onion. Pour desired amount of dressing over the top and toss to combine.
- Plate and serve with wonton crisps, mandarin oranges, and garnish with sesame seeds and enjoy!
