We are deeply appreciative for your prayers and good wishes toward all those affected by the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear power plant disasters in Japan. We have received reports that many of the sea vegetable divers and processors in northeastern Japan are missing, and that some traditional food processing facilities have been destroyed. Fortunately, our suppliers and their families are safe, but for those in areas that have been affected by the damage, we are supporting relief efforts.
To address the issue of food safety of supplies coming from Japan, as we receive updates, we will post information on our website. Please refer to the map at MAP OF JAPAN, which shows where many of our foods come from and where our suppliers are located.
We are working with our suppliers in Japan to make sure that products we import are free of radiation. Products will be checked before they leave Japan and upon arrival by U.S. Customs and F.D.A. to make sure they are free of contamination. If products pass these double inspections and are delivered to our warehouse, we are confident that they will be safe to ship to our customers..
We thank you for your understanding and appreciate your support. If you have any questions, please email us so we can address your concerns specifically.
Warm Regards,

Jean M Richardson
